Ready To Go Sliding Across Downtown LA's Skyline? You'll Soon Be Able To

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The skyline is downtown Los Angeles is about to get a whole lot more exciting and possibly a little scary for anyone afraid of heights.

That's because the U.S. Bank Tower, the tallest building west of the Mississippi, is getting a scream-inducing new tourist attraction called Skyslide.

The 36-foot-long glass slide will allow brave souls to slide from the 70th floor down to the 69th floor on the outside of the building.

The slide is about 1,000 feet above ground and will give sliders quite the view down. A new upscale restaurant will also be added on the floor above.

Organizers expect tickets to run about $25 for the slide and deck experience once the attraction opens by the middle of this year.
