Dense Fog Advisory Issued For Beach Cities In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Dense fog blanketed much of Southern California under unusually warm temperatures, forecasters said Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service, a dense fog advisory will remain in effect until 9 a.m. for beach cities and metropolitan Los Angeles.

Visibility may fall to a quarter-mile or less through the mid-morning hours. Low visibility could cause hazardous driving conditions, especially on the 405 , 110 and 710 Freeways to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Authorities have advised motorists to reduce speed, avoid tailgating, only use low beams and to give extra time traveling to destinations this morning.

Temperatures are expected to reach the high 70s and low 80s today.
