LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday arrested a man who was holed up inside his Lincoln Heights home armed with a shotgun, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at 200 block of South Avenue 18 around 5:30 a.m. in response to a call reporting an assault
with a deadly weapon, according to Officer Aareon Jefferson of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.

The suspect had gotten into an argument with his roommate at the home and pointed the shotgun at the roommate, Jefferson said.

A SWAT team was sent to the scene and the suspect was taken into custody, said Jefferson.
