Police Hunt Driver In Stanton Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash
STANTON (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver in Stanton who fatally struck a pedestrian Thursday evening.
Officials described the victim as a 50-year-old Latino. His name was withheld until his next of kin could be notified.
The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Cerritos and Sherill Avenue, Sky9's Stu Mundel reported.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Officials said there is no suspect or vehicle description.
The man was crossing the street when he was hit.
About two blocks away from the accident, Mundel said investigators were looking at a vehicle with windshield and front-end damage. It was not determined if the vehicle was involved in the fatal hit.
