The hot dog-shaped hot dog stand served up awesome hot dogs, great onion rings and wonderful fries for almost 70 years on La Cienega.

The hot dog stand appeared in scores of movies, videos and TV programs. For many years, it was a place to grab a quick lunch and see a celebrity or two.

New owners Kevin Michaels and Brett Doherty (the guys behind Killer Shrimp) are looking at a May 1 opening. The old stand will be replaced by a new one — seems the old one failed to pass new building codes. Rumor has it, the owners also plan to build another TOTP location in downtown LA.
