Adele Hosts Surprise Concert At The Wiltern
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Adele hosted a special concert in Koreatown on Friday at the Wiltern.
People began lining up in front of the Wiltern about 5 a.m. Friday.
The special concert was just announced a couple of days ago, and tickets were only available to those who were previously registered with Adele's website.
Some lucky fans then received an email notice Wednesday that they were the ones chosen to attend the concert Friday.
Those fans who received the email were then able to purchase a ticket for $50 using a special URL code sent to them in the email.
Some then put those tickets up for sale on the secondary market, with some asking as much as $1,900 for their general admission ticket.
However, by 2:30 p.m. Friday, all of those were either removed from the secondary market or purchased.
Adele was expected to go on the stage around 8:30 p.m.
She will also perform at the Grammy Awards on Monday, only on CBS2.
The folks in the back of the line were treated to a special surprise, as Adele herself popped her head out of a window and greeted them.
