Washington State Murder Suspect Believed To Be In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 29-year-old man wanted for murder in Washington state is believed to be in the Los Angeles area and should be considered armed and dangerous, FBI officials said.

Robert Deshawn Grott, who may have stayed in a downtown hotel Tuesday, is wanted on an arrest warrant alleging murder, according to the FBI, whose Fugitive Task Force is leading the local search for him.

Grott is one of two suspects involved in a Feb. 1 homicide that happened in the Tacoma, Washington area.

The other suspect is Grott's 22-year-old brother, Rashaad Grott, who turned himself in to authorities in Los Angeles and is in custody, FBI officials said. He admitted to driving with his brother to Los Angeles from Washington state.

FBI officials say Grott should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. The gun used in the Tacoma homicide has not been recovered.

Anyone with information about Grott's whereabouts can contact their local law enforcement agency or call 911.
