2 Stolen Car Suspects In Custody, Third Remains At Large In Loma Linda

LOMA LINDA (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities said two stolen car suspects are in custody and another at large following an attempt Saturday evening by all three to evade capture.

A deputy was on patrol when he saw a late model Honda Accord speeding and driving recklessly near San Timeteo Canyon Road in Loma Linda around 10:50 p.m.

The vehicle evaded the deputy at a high rate of speed and traveled to Nevada Road. There, officials said, the suspect's vehicle struck another deputy's car and became disabled.

Officials said at that point, a male and female in the car fled the scene on foot. One male suspect in the vehicle stayed behind.

The female was later located and detained. The man who stayed in the car was also taken into custody.

The male suspect who fled from the vehicle was not located after an extensive search.

The female has been identified as 21-year-old Samantha Kimball. The man who remained behind is identified as 23-year-old Jorge Ochoa.

Authorities said the green 1996 Honda Accord  was reported stolen out of Riverside County.

The patrol vehicle sustained minor damage.

Both Ochoa and Kimball were booked into West Valley Detention Center.

Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the outstanding male suspect. He is described as a Latino, in his 20's, approximately 5 feet tall and 9 inches tall and approximately 200 pounds. When last seen, the suspect was wearing a grey and blue sweater and dark jeans.
