SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a surfer who got caught up in the choppy waters of San Pedro has been rescued.
Firefighters and other search teams were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Paseo Del Mar on Monday afternoon and pulled the adult male from the water.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the man was evaluated but declined transport to the hospital.
After a thorough search, no other victims were found, firefighters said.
Authorities encouraged people to stay away from the water’s edge due to the high surf.
