SAN PEDRO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said a man’s body was found floating off the coast of San Pedro Thursday afternoon.
The man’s body was discovered in the surf off Point Fermin Park. The cause of death was being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.READ MORE: West Covina City Council Approves New Amazon Distribution Center
The discovery was reported to authorities about 3:45 p.m., according to LAPD Sgt. Barry Montgomery and Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The victim was identified Friday as 40-year-old Rosendo Herrera of Huntington Park.
