LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — An adult man was killed Wednesday when his vehicle barreled off of the side of a freeway in Long Beach.

Around 1 a.m., officers were sent to assist firefighters with report of a traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle at the 6th Street off-ramp on the 710 Freeway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned a passenger vehicle struck a big rig on the freeway and drove off the side of the off-ramp for an undetermined reason.
