RANCH PALOS VERDES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they have responded to Rancho Palos Verdes to help rescue a horse that got stuck in a ravine.

The incident was reported about 2:43 p.m. Tuesday in the Portuguese Bend Reserve, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies say the rider reported that she and the horse were uninjured, but that the horse got stuck in dense brush.

Authorities were expected to bring equipment to the scene to help clear the brush and free the horse.
