Executive Producer Of CBS' 'Blue Bloods' Gives $8 Million To UCLA For Migraine Research
LOS ANGELES (AP) — TV producer Leonard Goldberg and his wife have donated $8 million to UCLA for migraine research.
The gift, announced Tuesday, will endow the UCLA Goldberg Migraine Program. UCLA says it's the largest gift from individuals to study and treat migraines, which affect 36 million Americans.
The school says every 10 seconds, someone in the U.S. goes to an emergency room with a migraine-related complaint.
Another $2 million will be donated for other UCLA health programs.
Goldberg is a former president of 20th Century Fox and is executive producer of the CBS series "Blue Bloods."
Wendy Goldberg is an author and president emeritus of the California State Summer School Arts Foundation.
