Man Who Climbed Onto Transformer In Fullerton Dies, Police Say
FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Police say a man died Sunday hours after climbing onto a transformer in Fullerton.
Police were dispatched to the area of Brookhurst and Commonwealth around 3 p.m. Saturday regarding an explosion.
On arrival, officers found a man who had climbed into a transformer and apparently touched off the explosion. They said the man was on fire.
The unidentified man was transported to a trauma center suffering from critical injuries as a result of the fire.
He died at 5:54 a.m. Sunday, according to the Orange County Coroner's website.
No further information was immediately available.
