LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  On Friday night, CBS2’s Kristine Lazar reported about a family’s agonizing wait for a heart for their little girl.

Ellie Lim, 8-months-old, has spent half her life in the hospital. Her mother, Melissa, told Lazar she wasn’t able to hold her daughter — suffering from an enlarged heart and in dire need of a transplant — since August.
