Snoop Dogg Returns To Hometown Of Long Beach To Hand Out Turkeys

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Snoop Dogg returned to his hometown of Long Beach Wednesday to hand out hundreds of birds for Thanksgiving.

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., partnered with VIP Records and city officials for the turkey giveaway.

He was born and raised in Long Beach and says he's happy to give back to the community that gave him so much.

"It always feels good to come back home and see family members and see friends," he said. "Just to come back and give love. That's what I love to do. I love to give."

But he says he will leave the cooking to someone else on Thursday.
