Armed Man In Burbank Barricade Situation Surrenders To Police
BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — An armed man in his 20s holed up inside a Burbank home on Saturday morning for about 90 minutes before giving himself up to police.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of North Rose Street shortly after 7:30 a.m. on a report of an abduction, the Burbank Police Department said.
Officers arriving on the scene saw people running away from the home.
Police were told by family members that the suspect was armed and holding additional family members against their will.
A crisis negotiator was called to the scene, two more people were released from the home and the armed suspect then surrendered to police without further incident at about 9 a.m.
No injuries were reported and there was no other immediate information.
