Caught On Video: 4 Armed Burglars Target Homes In Highland

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com) — Deputies sought the public's help Thursday to identify four burglary suspects who targeted at least two homes in the City of Highland.

On Oct. 26, deputies were sent to the 7400 block of Mountain Laurel Drive for report of a burglary that just occurred, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned surveillance video captured three armed men forcing open a back door to the home. It remains unclear what was stolen from the residence.

Three days later, deputies were sent to a home located in the 28000 block of Cherokee Rose Drive for report of an attempted burglary.

"As the suspects attempted to force entry into the residence, they appeared to be scared off when they saw the victim inside," said sheriff-coroner John McMahon. "The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction."

The second home was located directly across the street from where the first incident occurred.

On Oct. 30, four suspects returned to the home and attempted to force entry.

According to deputies, at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the home during the attempted break-in.

Detectives described the suspects as Hispanic or Caucasian men believed to be between the ages of 16 and 25-years-old.

Anyone with information regarding this case has been urged to contact the Highland Police Department at (909) 425-9793.
