LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Miami Marlins and Don Mattingly have mutual interest regarding the team’s managerial vacancy, the Miami Herald reports.

USA Today’s Bob Nightengale went as far as to call Mattingly the Marlins “favorite option” for their open manager position.

The Marlins have already interviewed Larry Bowa and Phil Nevin for the job as well, and former Dodger Alex Cora is rumored to be another possible candidate.

The Dodgers recently announced that they had agreed to part ways with Mattingly on Thursday.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
