Lamar Odom Suffers Setback; Wife Cancels Book Tour To Be With Him

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Lamar Odom suffered a setback Friday in his recovery, forcing his estranged wife Khloe Kardashian to cancel her book tour, which  talks about their marital struggles.

Doctors have banned all visitors, except Kardashian, from the former Laker's hospital room at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center near Beverly Hills, according to sources who talked to "Entertainment Tonight."

"Khloe just announced she's canceling all her press appearances and her promo tour for her new book "Strong Looks Better Naked," said ET Senior News Editor Jennifer Peros.

"Now, a source tells ET that Khloe absolutely hates cancelling anything when it comes to work. And she realizes that this is  something she needs to do. But right now, her No. 1 and only priority is getting Lamar back to good health," according to Peros.

A close source to Odom told ET that doctors are waiting for test results to see if he needs a kidney transplant.

The 35-year-old had two emergency surgeries this week and has suffered physical and mental setback since, according to ET.

Workers found the former NBA star unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nev., on Oct. 13.

Search warrants released to the Associated Press this week showed detectives think Odom overdosed on cocaine and other drugs.

Earlier this week, Odom and his estranged wife had called off their divorce.
