LA VERNE (CBSLA.com) — Traffic was snarled Monday for commuters traveling through La Verne due to a fiery tour bus crash.
Just after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to the westbound 210 Freeway, just west of Fruit Street, for report of a stalled tour bus, according to California Highway Patrol officers.READ MORE: Suspect Runs Into Walmart At The End Of Pursuit Before Getting Arrested
Upon their arrival, authorities located 38 passengers lined up against the center divider of the freeway.
A preliminary investigation revealed the bus stalled and subsequently caught on fire in the carpool lane.READ MORE: Sacramento Surgeon Under Fire For Making Virtual Court Appearance While Operating On Patient
Officers issued a SigAlert for passengers to move to the right shoulder to board another bus.
Crews are also working to clean up diesel fuel and oil that spilled into a storm drain.
No injuries were reported.
