LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully will miss the Dodgers’ postseason games after undergoing a recommended medical procedure on Thursday morning.

Scully will not be announcing the upcoming Dodgers postseason games at the advice of his doctors.

However, he is looking forward to returning to the Dodgers in 2016 for his 67th season with the team.

Team officials did not release details of the procedure, but Scully said he plans to return to his job in time for next season.

Scully only announces home games and road games in San Francisco and Anaheim during the regular season.

The 87-year old announced in August that next season would probably be his last.

“I don’t want any headlines, but I would say next year would be the last one,” he said.
