LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Galaxy forward Giovani Dos Santos has been named to Mexico’s roster for the CONCACAF Cup 2015 by  head coach Ricardo Ferretti.

The United States and Mexico will play in the CONCACAF Cup 2015, which will take place on October 10th at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Dos Santos will still be available to play when the Galaxy face the Seattle Sounders FC this sunday, October 4th.

The CONCACAF Cup will feature the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup Champion United States team pitted against the 2015 Gold Cup Champion Mexican team, in order to determine who will represent the confederation in the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.

The 26-year old Dos Santos helped lead Mexico to the 2015 Gold Cup title, recording a goal and an assist during the tournament.

Mexico went on to beat Jamaica in the finals of the Gold Cup.

Dos Santos has started 7 games this season as a member of the Galaxy, recording three goals and four assists.
