Metro, MTA Fire Shots On Twitter Ahead Of Dodgers-Mets Series

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Mets and the Dodgers won't meet in the National League Division Series until next week, but the postseason rivalry is already underway on social media.

Metro Los Angeles and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of the State of New York (MTA) took to Twitter not long after the Dodgers clinched the NL West with an 8-0 win over the Giants and let the trash talk begin.

It's at this point the whole exchange appeared to backfire on MTA after at least one Twitter user called out the agency for not keeping its subways clean.

The matchup will pit the two teams against each other in the postseason for the first time since the 2006 NLDS, when New York swept the Dodgers in three games before going on to lose the NLCS to the Cardinals.
