Happy Couple Announces Pregnancy With Horror-Themed YouTube Clip

SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — Having a baby can be a scary thing.

So, what better way to announce the happy news to everyone than by scaring them?

That's what Judy and Gavin Holt of San Dimas did in a unique YouTube video that's become a sensation.

"We absolutely love scary movies," said Judy who is four months pregnant with their first child.

The Holts, both professional photographers and videographers, wanted to do something different for their pregnancy announcement.

"We knew it was a little weird, but then again, people know us as a weird couple," Gavin said.

The couple says the three minutes of horror is a movie filled with all-things creepy and gives hints along the way.

The clip ends with the baby's due date: March 2016.

The video has gone viral with more than 875,000 views on YouTube.

The Holts say the announcement is extra special for them as they've suffered two previous miscarriages.

"It took a while for me to get over that and we've been trying for a year and finally we're blessed with this one," Judy said.

And, they say, they were scared making the movie as well.

"That fear that you feel in the video, we didn't want to reflect the fear that we had of losing our baby," Gavin said.

But they warn: stay tuned for a sequel.
