Police: Two Men Stabbed Each Other Outside Of Courthouse In Glendale

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Detectives investigated the circumstances surrounding a double stabbing on Monday that claimed the life of one man and injured another.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., a man in his 40s used the call box from the stairs of a police station to notify authorities of his stab wounds, according to the Glendale Police Department.

Upon their arrival, paramedics transported the man from the area of East Broadway at North Isabel Street to a hospital where he underwent surgery. An update on his condition was not immediately available.

A second victim was later found stabbed to death outside of the courthouse, located about a block away from the police station.

"There was a pool of blood that was left behind by the victim," said Sgt. Robert William. "The officer started trailing the blood to where the Glendale Courthouse is."

The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.

Detectives said they believe both men stabbed each other outside of the courthouse.

A knife was recovered at the scene.
