Meet The World's Biggest Football Player

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A local high school senior has been recognized as possibly the world's largest football player.

Standing at 7-feet tall and weighing over 400 pounds, John Krahn, also known as "Junior," is taller than any player in the NFL.

Krahn plays for Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, and was in action Friday night as his team took on the Rancho Santa Margarita Eagles.

"I just get goosebumps walking in, the Friday night lights, knowing he's on the field. People are watching their kids play, but you can't miss my brother," said Krahn's big sister Miranda.

It hasn't been easy for Krahn growing up however, his mother, Cindy, said.

"You know like, he can't go to Disneyland, because he can't fit in any of the rides," she said.

Most high school football players are about 6-feet tall weighing around 200 pounds.

Krahn said of his team, "We got that work hard mentality. Put your hat on and let's go work. We gotta do what we gotta do."

Football has always been a part of the big man's life.

"I love it. It's my life. It's been my dream since I was in 3rd grade."

Krahn is a 17-year old senior who is looking at a college in Montana, but has aspirations to one day play in the NFL.

"I would love for him to play for the 49ers," said his mother.

His father, however, said school comes first. "His education is number one," he told KCAL.

However, if he is unable to make it to the NFL, he hopes to become a police officer.
