Police Release Sketch Of Man Suspected In Robbery At El Camino College

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help on Thursday to locate a man who is suspected of robbing a student in a parking lot at El Camino College.

According to the El Camino College Police Department, a student was approached by two Latino men while he sat in his car, located in the upper portion of Lot F, just before 1 p.m. on Sept. 3.

One of the men knocked on the window and asked the student a few questions, campus police explained.

The suspect then brandished what appeared to be a blue steel revolver and proceeded to take several personal items from the student.

According to police, the suspect has a dark complexion, is between the ages of 20 to 25-years-old, weighs 170 pounds, stand 5-foot-6 tall and has a medium build.

Detectives added he has tattoos on both arms, but most notably tattoos of unknown letters covering his entire neck.

On Wednesday, officers released a composite sketch of the suspect.

It was not immediately clear if the suspects and victim knew each other before the crime occurred.

The investigation is ongoing.
