Overturned Car Lands In Glendale Construction Trench
GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A vehicle overturned Thursday into a construction trench about 30 feet below ground in Glendale, authorities said.
The accident was the result of a traffic collision between two vehicles around 9:25 a.m. at Central and Wilson avenues, a Glendale Fire Department spokesperson said.
The vehicle ended up on its roof after smashing through a fence surrounding the site.
A female victim was trapped in the car at the site, according to officials. She was later extricated from the heavily-damaged vehicle and hoisted up to street level, where she was transported in unknown condition.
Traffic was closed on Central between Broadway and California, officials said.
