ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Two men were hospitalized on Friday after being stabbed during a fight in Anaheim.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m., officers were sent to the 700 block of South Beach Bouelvard for report of an altercation, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

Upon their arrival, authorities located two young men suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Paramedics transported the victims to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A preliminary investigation revealed the stabbing occurred during a fight between two groups in the area.

At this time, it remains unclear if the fight occurred between rival gangs.

The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
