Brush Fire Reported Near Arrowhead Springs Resort

LAKE ARROWHEAD (CBSLA.com) —  A 15-acre brush fire has been reported near the Arrowhead Springs Resort.

Officials said the fire -- reported just before 3:10 p.m. Sunday -- is burning near the south end of Waterman Canyon.

Authorities said Highway 18 is closed from 40th Street North to Hwy 138.

Four crews, including 10 engines, one water tender, three helicopters, two air tankers and one air attack plane are fighting the blaze.

A few homes were in the line of fire but firefighters had it 50 percent contained within two hours.

Cause of the fire is under investigation.
