17-Year-Old Pedestrian Gravely Hurt In Oxnard Hit-And-Run

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) Authorities said a 17-year-old pedestrian was gravely hurt Sunday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.

The pedestrian was struck in the intersection of Dollie Street and Petit Drive around 9:55 a.m., police said.

The victim was found unconscious when authorities arrived on scene.

A preliminary investigation said the suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Dollie approaching Petit when it struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the roadway.

Surveillance video reportedly captured the suspect vehicle just prior to the collision.

Oxnard Police say they are looking for a ight colored, four-door sedan with dark wheels, a sun roof and its rear three windows tinted.

The victim, an Oxnard resident, suffered significant head trauma. He was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he is currently listed in grave condition.
