Officials Release Identity Of Woman Found Murdered Inside Of Burbank Home

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — Police on Wednesday released the identity of a woman who was murdered inside of a home in Burbank.

According to the Burbank Police Department, the Coroner's office identified Brandi Carrasco as the victim on Tuesday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to a home located in the 1900 block of Richard Street for report of a female not breathing.

Upon their arrival, authorities located Carrasco inside of a bedroom. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation lead to the arrest of the homeowner, Brian Thomas Lowe, 49, of Burbank.

Lowe was booked on suspicion of murder, however, due to conflicting statements and an inconsistent sequence of events, detectives ruled he did not play a part in the murder.

Authorities released Lowe without pending charges.

On Tuesday, police located Timothy Aguilar Andrade, 28, of Hesperia, who was a person of interest that authorities actively searched for.

Andrade provided significant information to investigators, which subsequently revealed he acted alone in the murder.

Officials were also able to recover a knife, which is believed to have been used as the murder weapon.

According to police, Carrasco had recently been staying at the home and appeared to have dated Andrade when the crime was committed.
