Lancaster Man Gets 6 Years In Prison For Pointing Fake Gun At His Mom

LANCASTER (AP) — A man has been sentenced to six years in state prison for pointing a replica gun at his 83-year-old mother during a standoff with Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies in the Antelope Valley.

The District Attorney's Office says Kelly Alton Baker, 57, of Lancaster was sentenced Monday by Superior Court Judge Kathleen Blanchard.

Baker pleaded no contest to one felony count of elder or dependent adult abuse and one misdemeanor count of brandishing a replica gun earlier this month.

Prosecutors say deputies responded to a 911 call from a Lancaster home on May 24.

When they arrived, they were confronted by Baker, who pointed a replica gun at the deputies and then at his mother.
