AZUSA (CBSLA.com) — A 50-year-old man who was fatally struck by a pickup truck while pushing a shopping cart across a busy road near Azusa on Friday evening was identified by authorities on Saturday.
California Highway Patrol officers said Ricardo Arteaga was crossing the 17200 block of East Arrow Highway on the border of the unincorporated area of Vincent around 8:45 p.m. when he was struck by a 2005 Dodge Ram traveling westbound on the road. No arrests were made, and alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
