Police Investigate Murder-Suicide Incident In Crenshaw District

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police on Monday investigated the circumstances surrounding the death of a man and a woman located in the Crenshaw District.

Around 5:17 a.m., officers received a call from a man who reported he had just shot and killed his girlfriend in the 3800 block of Potomac Avenue.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the man went on to explain he would be taking his life as well.

Upon their arrival, officers found the front door of the home open.

A man and a woman were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their identities are being withheld pending family notification.

Detectives said this incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
