Shortly after Correia fell the to the ground motionless while Rousey managed to land a left-handed punch to her face. The referee then called the fight and stopped further damage from “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.

Just a day after the passing of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Rousey dedicated this fight to him, and made a reference to him after her victory in a short victory speech.

She also alluded to her father, who committed suicide when she was eight years old.

Earlier in the month, Correia made a remark that Rousey would “kill herself” if she lost the fight.

Her last three fights have lasted 16 seconds (Alexis Davis, KO), 14 seconds (Cat Zingano, Submission) and 34 seconds (Bethe Correia, KO).

Rousey tweeted this months before the fight, and she also guaranteed her victory in the days leading up to the bout.
