Police: Man Wearing Ninja-Like Mask Suspected Of Robbing Walgreens Pharmacy With Sword

PLACENTIA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a Walgreens Pharmacy in Orange County was robbed Wednesday night by a man police say wore a ninja-like mask and was armed with a sword.

Placentia police said the robbery happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Yorba Linda Boulevard, according to a department statement.

Police said the man walked into the store, pointed a sword at the clerks and demanded cash.

After getting the money, police said, the man left on foot, heading east on Yorba Linda Boulevard, where they say he removed the mask.

Polcie described the suspect as a 5-foot-10 Caucasian man in his late 20s. He had curly brown hair, weighs about 180 pounds and was clean shaven.

Police said the man was wearing a black leather jacket, black shirt, black jeans and black gloves.

No one was hurt, and police said no vehicle was seen.

The amount of cash taken was not immediately disclosed by police.
