LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police have arrested a South Los Angeles woman on suspicion of killing her 9-month-old daughter.

The LAPD received a call of a woman screaming in the 2000 block of West 64th Street around 3 p.m. Friday, according to Officer Liliana Preciado.

Preciado says witnesses told officers the woman was screaming she had killed her baby.

The baby has been identified as Savannah Coleman.

The child was found inside the residence. She was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead, according to Preciado.

The suspect, a woman in her early 20s, was arrested and was to be booked for murder.
