6-Year-Old Skateboarder Fatally Struck By Car In Santa Ana

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A 6-year-old boy skateboarding was fatally struck by a car at a Santa Ana apartment complex, according to officials.

It happened around 5:45 p.m. at 811 South Fairview Street, Sgt. Carol Salvatierre of the Santa Ana Police Department said.

The woman behind the wheel remained the scene. She reportedly told police the boy ran out in front of her car.

The boy was taken to a hospital where he later died, Salvatierre said.

It was unclear if an arrest was made.
