'Prize Exhibit' Wins $200K San Clemente Handicap At Del Mar

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Prize Exhibit rallied to win the $200,000 San Clemente Handicap for 3-year-old fillies by 1 1/2 lengths over 8-5 favorite Sunset Glow on a rare rainy Sunday at Del Mar.

Ridden by Santiago Gonzalez, Prize Exhibit ran a mile on turf in 1:36.05 and paid $9.20, $4.20 and $3.20. Gonzalez rode four winners on the 10-race card.

Sunset Glow returned $3 and $3. Paulina's Love was another three-quarters of a length back in third and paid $4.80 to show.

The victory, worth $120,000, increased Prize Exhibit's career earnings to $335,050, with five wins in 15 starts.
