HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com) —  Detectives are hoping the public can help them identify a man who took lewd pictures Thursday of female shoppers in the Highland area.

Officials said the suspect entered a grocery store at Greenspot Road and Church Street around 7:30 p.m.

While walking around the store, the suspect covertly photographed female customers as they bent over to remove items from shelves.

One female victim observed the suspect taking her picture. The victim confronted the suspect, prompting the suspect to flee the store.

The man is described as white or Latino, 25-35, wearing dark jeans, a light gray shirt and a Chargers baseball cap.

Video surveillance showed the suspect scoping out at least four additional victims. Outside surveillance cameras captured the suspect leaving the area in a maroon four-door sedan.
