Man Barricaded Inside Of Temple City Home Surrenders

TEMPLE CITY (CBSLA.com) — Deputies Tuesday were on the scene of a barricade situation at a home in Temple City.

Shortly after 11 p.m. on Monday, deputies were sent to a home located in the 5200 block of McClintock Avenue, near El Monte Avenue and Freer Street, for report of a family disturbance.

Upon their arrival, deputies encountered a male subject who refused to come out of the house, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

SWAT teams were called to assist in the barricade situation.

Deputies said it appears there are occupants inside the house, however, the incident is not being treated as a hostage situation at this time.

The ages or relationship of the occupants inside of the home remains unknown.

Evacuation orders were issued to residents in the immediate area.

No injuries were reported.

Shortly after 5 a.m., the man surrendered to authorities after nearly six hours.
