COVINA (CBSLA.com) — SWAT team members worked to remove a suspicious object Thursday that was found near a bus bench in Covina.
Shortly before 8 a.m., deputies were sent to the area of Lyman Avenue and Arrow Highway.
Upon their arrival, authorities located the object, which resembled a grenade.
Several houses and businesses were subsequently evacuated in the area.
Arrow Highway was shut down in both directions at Lyman Avenue. Just after 9 a.m., authorities reopened the area.
