STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It looks like things are changing up for the holiday weekend.

The monsoonal flow is drifting back to the east, which means more typical summer weather.

There is a cut off low up to the north and west that will help encourage on-shore low.

The marine layer will return with clouds in the morning and hazy afternoon sunshine.

Those oppressive humidity levels will drop as well, which appears to be the dominant pattern through next week.

Late next week and weekend, there is a chance for high pressure return with warmer temperatures.

For now, enjoy the break from the heat.

As far as fireworks go on Saturday, aside from some patchy coastal clouds, visibility should be clear for some great shows. It may even be a little chilly by fireworks near the L.A. Basin and at the beach.
