Crews Knock Down House Fire In South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Crews knocked down a fire that erupted inside a two-story home in South Los Angeles after 45 minutes Saturday.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the residence, located in the 1800 block of West 75th Street, around 1 p.m.

Crews were battling flames on the first and second floors as well as the attic of the home, which had "excessive storage," according to LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey.

Humphrey reported the blaze had been extinguished by 1:50 p.m.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
