LOS ANGELES (CBSNEWS.COM) – Earlier this week, CBS revealed the new crop of “Big Brother” houseguests – and one houseguest is already making headlines.

Audrey Middleton, a 25-year-old digital media consultant from Villa Rica, Georgia, will be the first transgender houseguest on “Big Brother” in its 17th season.

“Audrey Middleton is a ‘Big Brother’ super fan who applied online, like many other hopeful Houseguests, and was open about her transition in the application process,” a CBS spokesperson said in a statement to ET.

“It is customary for “Big Brother” houseguests to share personal news inside the house, and Audrey plans to discuss her story with the houseguests in her own words during the premiere episode on Wednesday, June 24th,” the statement concludes.

In her bio, Middleton describes herself as “radical, fun and intelligent,” and has big plans when she’s in the house once the summer-long game has begun.
