Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (June 15)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Get ready for a sizzling start to the work week.

The marine layer will continue to shrink this week, pushing away from inland areas.

The beach community will enjoy mother nature's built-in air conditioning. There will even be some dense fog from time to time at the coast that will creep into the basin.

Move away from that marine influence and be prepared to feel the heat.

Temperatures in the valleys will be more than 10 degrees above average, putting many areas into the high 90s.

High pressure will build throughout the week, peaking around Friday and Saturday.

The Southland won't see much relief from the heat until the middle of next week, so inland residents should start whipping up that lemonade.
