Temperatures in the valleys will be more than 10 degrees above average, putting many areas into the high 90s.

High pressure will build throughout the week, peaking around Friday and Saturday.

The Southland won’t see much relief from the heat until the middle of next week, so inland residents should start whipping up that lemonade.
