Child Annoyance Suspect Sought In Carson

CARSON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities asked for the public's help Thursday to find a man wanted for annoying and molesting children in two separate cases in Carson.

Detectives say a man was walking behind three 14-year-old girls in the area of Fries Avenue and Lomita Boulevard in Carson at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday and started talking to them to get their attention. When they turned around, the girls told deputies he pulled out his penis and began to masturbate.

The girls ran to a nearby home and reported the incident.

About an hour later, a man followed an 18-year-old woman on foot to her home in the area of 213th Street and Dolores Street. When she reached the front door, the man following her pulled his penis from his pants and began to masturbate, deputies said.

When the woman opened the door, went inside and tried to close the door behind her, the man put his foot in the doorway to keep her from closing it. When she screamed, the man ran away.

Detectives believe the same man is responsible in both incidents. He is described a black man between 20 and 35 years old with a light complexion, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, 150 to 160 pounds and a muscular build. He wore a black shirt and a large thick mustache that looked possibly fake.

Anyone with information about the suspect can contact Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Carson Station Detectives at (310) 830-1123.
