Owner, Plans Already In Works For American Pharoah's Next Start

NEW YORK (AP) — The owner of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah says plans are under way for his champion to race again this year.

Which race the horse will compete in next is still up in the air.

Ahmed Zayat said Sunday morning he wants the fans "to still enjoy something," and he's leaving it up to trainer Bob Baffert to map out a schedule.

Among the possible next races for the 12th Triple Crown winner are the Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park on Aug. 2; the Jim Dandy at Saratoga Race Course on Aug. 1; the Travers at Saratoga Race Course on Aug. 29; or a race at Del Mar in California in August.
